Art of Self-Love: Women’s Spring Moxa

The Art of Self-Love: Ancient Wisdom for Beauty, Hormones & Longevity

A new 3-part educational series at Lawrence Acupuncture led by Shahida Spann-Ryan, LAc and Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shahida is an expert in integrative medicine and specializes in fertility, perimenopause and women’s health.

Modern medicine now recognizes that beauty, hormones, and longevity are deeply connected to three core systems:
the nervous system, circulation, and hormonal regulation.

For thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine developed self-care therapies to regulate these systems before disease and aging take hold.

This spring, we are offering a special three-part class series designed to teach women simple, clinically grounded self-care tools for:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Hormonal balance & peri-menopause support

  • Pelvic vitality & sexual health

  • Circulation & lymphatic drainage

  • Healthy aging & longevity

Each class blends ancient techniques with modern anatomy and physiology — practical tools you can use at home to complement acupuncture and medical care.

Women’s Spring Moxa

Warming Therapy for Hormones, Joints & Immunity
March 12 | 6–7 PM

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, late winter and early spring are considered the most important time of year to warm, nourish, and protect the body’s core energy.

Moxibustion is a classical warming therapy used to:

  • Improve circulation and metabolism

  • Support immune resilience

  • Reduce joint pain and stiffness

  • Strengthen hormonal signaling

  • Warm the uterus and pelvic organs

This class is especially beneficial for women experiencing:

  • Fatigue or low energy

  • Cold hands and feet

  • Joint inflammation

  • Vaginal dryness or low libido

  • Peri-menopause and hormonal transition

You’ll learn safe, simple home protocols to support your hormones, digestion, joints, and immune system through the spring season. Moxa supplies will be available for purchase. Class recording and handout will be provided.

Warm the body. Nourish the hormones. Build resilience for the year ahead.
